Is it painful to get a crown?

Short Answer: Getting a crown is usually painless with local anesthesia. Mild sensitivity afterward is normal.

The area is numbed during your appointment, so you won’t feel the shaping or fitting process. You might feel mild soreness for a day or two after.

If you feel anxious about dental work, we can walk you through comfort options to ease your mind.
